The Reign Advanced Pro 29 0 was named a winner in the 2020 Design & Innovation Award. Viewed as a benchmark achievement for the bike industry’s highest-performing products, the D&I Award brings together select journalists, professional test riders and other industry experts who spend countless hours testing various products to choose the best in their respective categories.
The 2020 Reign Advanced Pro 29, a pro-level enduro machine that was developed with input from Giant Factory Off-Road Team racers, was singled out for its cutting-edge innovation and how it performed during testing in the Italian Dolomites. Test riders spent 16 days on the alpine terrain of Kronplatz, in Italy’s South Tyrol region, pushing off-road bikes and gear to the limits to determine which ones were worthy of winning the top award.
“For 2020, Giant has completely revised the Reign,” wrote D&I Award testers. “The result is an elegant 29” enduro bike that stands out with its safe and direct handling and feels at home on challenging terrain. The redesigned Maestro suspension link generates good traction and feels defined while providing lots of support.”
Testers also praised the looks of the Reign Advanced Pro 29, one of the first products of Giant’s new Tensio visual technology concept: “The design language is clear and refined and the shimmering chameleon finish adds an elegant touch. The Giant Reign Advanced Pro 29 0 is a brilliant enduro bike for all active riders who tend to spend their time on challenging terrain and love doing it in style.”
